About our rooms

At Flinten Horsens, we offer accommodation close to Horsens city centre.

All rooms feature a private bathroom, comfortable box mattresses, and space to sit around a table and relax.


All rooms except the six-person room include a TV. Every room has access to a fully equipped shared guest kitchen.



Our rooms are rented as private rooms. We offer options for solo travellers as well as rooms for up to six people.

For larger groups, our 3-, 4-, and 6-person rooms include foldable bunk beds to maximise space. The 2–4 bed rooms come with a TV, and all rooms offer either views of the Nørrestrand Nature Reserve or a private terrace with garden furniture during the summer season.

All guests have access to a fully equipped guest kitchen, where you’re welcome to prepare your own meals.

At Flinten Horsens, we’ve created the perfect setting for a peaceful stay in the heart of a beautiful nature reserve. Here, you can enjoy the calm while still having access to modern facilities for both relaxation and activities.

Guests have access to a fully equipped guest kitchen, a cosy fireplace lounge, and comfortable seating areas. For those feeling active, we offer a hobby room with billiards, air hockey, a play kitchen, LEGO, games, and magazines. Younger guests can enjoy the outdoor playground, while book lovers are welcome to borrow a title from our small library.

We also offer free parking and a locked bike shed, allowing both drivers and cyclists to store their vehicles safely.

Whether you’re here to unwind, play, or explore nature – we have something for everyone.

Easy and Flexible Self Check-in

Settle in quickly and without waiting!

At Flinten Horsens, we’ve made check-in simple and flexible with our self-service system. There is no staffed reception, but our team is always available on-site, and an emergency phone number is provided if you need assistance.


Upon arrival, you’ll find a note at the entrance with the name used for the booking. It includes all the key details for access, key handling, and practical information. Your key will be in a key box next to the main entrance and works for both the front door and your room.



Always remember to carry your key with you, as the room door locks automatically when you leave.
To unlock, simply place the key on the scanner by the door.

Good to Know About Staying at Flinten Horsens

At Flinten Horsens, we offer a relaxed and flexible stay where comfort and nature go hand in hand. We’re not a traditional hostel, but a modern accommodation provider.


Here, you’ll get a private room with your own bathroom, allowing you to enjoy peace and privacy during your stay.


For your convenience, bed linen is provided and placed in your room so you can make your own bed – or you can choose to have it made for you as an optional extra.


Our scenic location in a nature reserve provides the perfect setting for relaxation – while still being close to Horsens city centre and major attractions.


You’ll find shared spaces where you can meet other guests, as well as calm surroundings if you prefer a stay at your own pace.


Whether you’re travelling for business, as a family, or simply need a break – we provide the setting for a comfortable and memorable stay.

Breakfast

It will be possible to order 1x morning bun or morning plate in our online booking or via email: info@flintenhorsens.dk.


These must be ordered no later than 10:00 the day before.


Note:

We ONLY offer breakfast buffet on dates with major events.


Linen

There is 1x linen package included in the price per person - guests are responsible for making the room themselves.


It is possible to purchase extra bedding, where we will prepare everything for you!


It is therefore important to indicate the correct number of guests who will be using the room, as we will have linen ready for you.


Check-in and Check-out

There is self-check-in every day from 2:00 PM. There will be a note for you at the main entrance to the hostel. The note will explain how to get your keys and get in.


Check-out of the room must be done before 10:00 AM on the day of departure.


Pets are not allowed

Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring your pet to Danhostel Horsens. But we know that there are many other Danhostels that offer it, so visit Danhostel.dk.

Telephone opening hours

Monday-Saturday 09:00-16:00

     


Please note: We only have fixed telephone hours. Our reception does not have fixed opening hours. It is therefore not possible to just show up.


Guest kitchen

Our fully equipped guest kitchen is reserved for families and single travelers. Here it is possible to prepare meals, eat your home-cooked food or enjoy a cup of coffee.

Food may not be brought into the rooms.

  • Self Check-in


    Check-in is available from 2:00 PM. Flinten Horsens uses a self check-in system, meaning there is no staffed reception to greet guests. However, staff is always available on-site, and an emergency phone number is provided if assistance is needed.


    You can purchase early check-in as an add-on. Read more under "Packages" HERE.

  • Cancellation Policy Cancellation & Changes

    Cancellations must always be made in writing via email to: info@danhostelhorsens.dk


    Free Cancellation:

    All bookings can be cancelled free of charge within 2 hours of being made.


    BestPrice – NOT Flexible:

    Can be cancelled free of charge within 2 hours of booking. After that, it is non-refundable and cannot be moved to another date.


    BasicPrice – Partially Flexible:

    Bookings can be cancelled up to 7 days before arrival. The full amount will be refunded, minus an administration fee of DKK 150 per room.


    Later cancellations will be charged in full. This rate can be moved to another date (price difference may apply).


    WorryFree Price – Flexible:

    Bookings can be cancelled until 10:00 AM on the day of arrival. Full refund minus an admin fee of DKK 150 per room.

    Vi tilbyder generelt et billigt alternativ til Hotellerne i Horsens. Vi har et fast tilbud til alle firmaer hver uge som mangler overnatning på 380,00kr pr. nat.

  • What can you do in Horsens?

    Flinten Horsens ligger lige midt i et skønt naturreservat, som byder på skønne naturoplevelser. 


    På Flinten Horsens har vi desuden et spillerum med Air-Hockey, Pool, og diverse brætspil. Til de helt små har vi et bord fyldt med lego.


    Horsens byder på masser af kulturelle oplevelser for familien. Nogle af de spændende ting i kan lave, der kan vi varmt anbefale: Fængsels Museum, Industrimuseet og Kunstmuseet.

    It is possible to book group accommodation at Flinten Horsens. With 86 beds, we can host both small and large groups.

    Flinten Horsens welcomes families. We offer rooms with up to six beds, either with private terraces or views of the nature reserve.


    Our location in the heart of a nature reserve is ideal for walking or running.


    We also have a game room with air hockey, pool, board games, LEGO, a play kitchen and more for the little ones.


    To complete your stay, all guests have access to a fully equipped guest kitchen. In summer, enjoy your meals on the terrace while the children play nearby.
